CTV Kitchener Profiles Longtime St. Mary’s Volunteer as Local Hero

July 9th, 2015

Each week CTV Kitchener profiles local heroes who make a difference in our community and around the world. Rose Lorentz, a volunteer at St. Mary’s General Hospital since 1988, was profiled on the July 8 Local Hero segment for her longtime dedication to St. Mary’s patients and families. Rose has volunteered in many areas of the hospital and continues today as a team lead volunteer at the main greeter desk.

CTV selected Rose as a local hero after she was presented with the Mission Legacy Award at the hospital in June. Rose, along with six other individuals received the prestigious award which recognizes local people who have contributed in an exceptional manner to the healthcare ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton, St. Mary’s General Hospital and the St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation.

Congratulations and thank you to Rose who is one of our many heroes at St. Mary’s. Click here to view the CTV Local Hero segment.
