For many years Sarah was the first person our guests would encounter as they entered our restaurants. Her warm, genuine greeting combined with her style and grace added an extra touch of elegance to our establishment.
Sarah became an institution within the hearts of both her colleagues and our guests whose lives she positively affected with virtually every contact. In Sarah’s honour, the Charcoal Group will sell a limited edition print every year with 100% of it’s sales going to the St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre.
After a courageous battle with heart disease, on December 30, 2005 Sarah passed away.
In Sarah’s honour, the proceeds of this endeavour will support the Sarah Misselbrook Family Room at the St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre. The room will be a place of comfort and support for families, loved ones, and patients alike. In her battle with her heart condition, Sarah spent a considerable amount of time at St. Mary’s. Her family felt it was an appropriate gesture to make in her honour. The St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre provides a full range of comprehensive cardiac care to residents of Waterloo Region and beyond, including heart surgery, angioplasty, rehab, and diagnostics.

About the Artist
Heather Logan is the President of ‘h creates’, a graduate of Conestoga College’s Graphic Design Program, and a 2005 ICON Award Winner. Exceptional at recognizing the value of design as it relates to communicating a marketing message, her clients are as varied as the solutions she creates. Heather demonstrates her dynamic, yet sophisticated use of colour in this year’s Martini’s Poster, capturing the very essence of the “Martini’s Experience”.
