Local hospitals continue to improve mortality rate

WATERLOO REGION — Local hospitals continue to significantly decrease their death rates, ranking this region among the safest in the province. 

St. Mary’s General Hospital holds one of the lowest rates in Canada and Grand River Hospital scores well after years of poor performance in the annual quality of care measure by the Canadian Institute for Health Information.
