Update (April 26, 2021)
Teams continue to work on restoring services. Patient care has not been affected. Some systems, including the guest internet throughout the hospital, are unavailable at this time. Patients are able to use their personal devices to access the internet through their service provider.
We’d like to thank our staff, physicians and community for their patience as we work to restore full service. Patient services have been unaffected and we are committed to providing our patients the best care possible.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
As we reported on our website earlier today, St. Mary’s was dealing with an unplanned network outage throughout the day today.
St. Mary’s experienced a cyber incident in the early morning hours of April 22, 2021. As a result, we suspended access to our information technology applications while we worked to contain the incident.
Our investigation to date suggests that this incident has not affected our patient data or interfered with our patient care. We are actively working to resolve the issue and restore our systems as quickly as possible. During this time, we have moved to well-established downtime procedures at the hospital and our clinical services continue.
“It was good to confirm that patient data and information has not been compromised,” said St. Mary’s President Lee Fairclough. “I am grateful to our St. Mary’s teams that have worked through this challenge to maintain clinical service for our patients, limit the impact and restore services.”
Thank you for your patience as we work through this situation.
