Single and Dual Chamber Pacemakers

A pacemaker is a device that helps regulate the rhythm of the heart, as well as the rate at which it beats. A pacemaker sends an electrical impulse to the muscle of the heart telling it when to beat. The pacemaker leads can be attached in a single chamber or to two chambers (dual chamber) if necessary.

After your pacemaker is inserted, you will be referred to our Pacemaker Device Clinic for follow up monitoring and care. Click here to learn more about our Cardiac Clinics, including our Pacemaker Device Clinic.
