Outbreak Declared on St. Mary's Seventh Floor (700 Unit)

In consultation with Region of Waterloo Public Health, St. Mary’s is unfortunately declaring a COVID-19 outbreak on our Seventh Floor (700 Unit). At this point in time, four patient cases are associated with the outbreak.

Our thoughts are with our patients and colleagues and as always, we wish them a safe and speedy recovery.

Care Partner visits on these units are suspended, except in exceptional circumstances (universal masking in effect). We understand how difficult outbreaks are on our patients, families and team members. Efforts will continue to be made to connect patients with Care Partners by phone or virtually. Patient Experience will assist in notifying patients’ Care Partners on these units.
