Located in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, Waterloo Region is comprised of three cities and four townships. The three cities - Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo are all unique with diverse communities, and lots of exciting things to do and see.
The region has strong public transit, fantastic educational opportunities at every level, and great community supports.
Waterloo Region has two globally recognized universities, University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. There is also Conestoga College, a top Canadian College which offers a diverse range of programs and educational opportunities.
There is also a strong Public and Catholic school system for elementary and secondary schools, and a French language school.

Home to the second largest Oktoberfest in the world, the region has a number of exciting festivals and cultural events to participate in year-round. There are museums and galleries to explore local history and beyond.
One exciting part of living in Waterloo Region is that no matter where you are, you have easy access to small town life, busy city centres, and natural wonders. Hiking trails abound, as well as rivers to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. Fantastic golf courses, ice rinks and recreation facilities are available. Local farmers markets, along with the large St. Jacobs market are available for exploring.

CMH Paws:

Ember’s role is to support the mental wellbeing of our staff, physicians and midwives. She is working for CMH personnel only and is another means for staff to access support for their mental health. The program Ember is part of is called CMH Paws.

Although all roles at CMH are important from our Environmental Service workers, PSWs, our maintenance to our Nurses and physicians. A few of the current needs are RNs, RPNs, PSWs and Medical Laboratory Technologists, Pharmacy Technicians, Decision Support.
