Message from Marion Thomson Howell, Board Chair of St. Mary’s General Hospital, and Winnie Doyle, Interim President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health System
Dear St. Mary’s General Hospital staff and community,
We are writing to let you know that Lee Fairclough, President of St. Mary’s General Hospital, has requested a personal leave of absence starting on Monday, April 4, 2022.
Sherri Ferguson, VP, Human Resources and Culture, will become Acting President of St. Mary’s General Hospital on that date. In addition, Ontario Health will provide information on the transition of regional lead responsibilities.
In Lee’s typical fashion, she has developed a thoughtful plan to ensure a smooth transition for Sherri, the leadership team, staff, the entire St. Mary’s community, and the region.
We have the utmost confidence in Sherri, and as Board Chair of St. Mary’s General Hospital and as Interim President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health System, we will provide support to her, and the senior leadership team, as needed.
Lee is with us until April 3rd and we wish her the very best during her upcoming leave.
Thank you to our caring staff and community for your ongoing dedication to excellence at St. Mary’s General Hospital.
Sincerely,
Marion Thomson Howell
Board Chair
St. Mary’s General Hospital
Winnie Doyle
Interim President and CEO
St. Joseph’s Health System
