Outbreak on St. Mary's Third Floor East Unit declared over

In consultation with Region of Waterloo Public Health, St. Mary’s is declaring an end to our COVID-19 outbreak on our Third Floor East Unit.

In total, the outbreak impacted three staff and no patients. We know how difficult this has been for our staff and patients. We extend our utmost gratitude to you all.

As a reminder:

• Diligence with PPE continues.
• Staff can float to other units.
• The importance of physical distancing while at St. Mary's continues to be reinforced.
• No eating or drinking inside the hospital when accompanying patients to their appointments.
• Enhanced cleaning will continue throughout the unit.
